Washington D.C. ( June 11, 2009) – Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), a leader in opposition to the original TARP I and TARP II bailouts, and Congressman Bob Filner (D-CA) today sent a letter to Members of Congress urging them to vote against a supplemental appropriations that may bring total funding for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to $108 billion.
“The most plausible explanation for the request … is that the funding would be used to bail out private European banks with U.S. taxpayer money,” said Kucinich and Filner in the letter.
